The artist Heinz Butz, who was born in Bavaria in 1925, belongs to a generation that still had to experience the last year of the war as a soldier and was not spared the imprisonment. This experience at a young age has shaped Butz’s relationship to the world and to people. The world is created by my worldview, he says in conversation.  For him, Weltanschauung has nothing to do with ideology or politics, but with the basic attitude towards life and reality.
